Gotta agree with the seeming consensus that Spells is the weakest track on the album. I may get around to doing a track by track review once I get a bit more familiar with the material, as it is everything is a bit too fresh for me to form any solid opinion on.

Boondox had far more solo material on The harvest than Hoodoo has on Crystal Skull and that kinda sucks. YouвЂ™re introducing an artist to us, let us get to know them.

I have to agree with those saying that Violent J is on way too many tracks to the detriment of the experience. I think it did fail to live up to my personal hype level for it, and I feel Boondox had a stronger debut on the label than Dubbla did here. So yeah, the album was pretty good though. On that note IвЂ™d love to hear a Big Hoodoo cover of Southwest Voodoo. Southwest Voodoo had more going on than this entire album. Also disappointed that Hexed was the only track that really felt like it explored the spell slinging voodoo wicked shit concept, I mean yeah it came up a bit on some of the other tracks but I was expecting human sacrifices, zombification, killing/dismembering people with spells and the like. Kinda disappointed that Hexed ended up being the best track, if only because it was the first thing we heard from him and basically nothing else quite got to that point.

Just finished my first listen to the full album. ThatвЂ™s whatвЂ™s so damn funny about it, juggalos hate on the gimmicks but then have no interest in buying it without the gimmicks. Violent вЂњGayвЂќ (as someone here put it) has never held a gun to the back of someoneвЂ™s head and forced them to sign a deal. IвЂ™d imagine artists who sign with Psy realize this going in and they themselves are looking for a way to market themselves and give themselves something to set them apart from the norm. ThatвЂ™s what Psy is and they market the shit out of that and if you still fail to see that then youвЂ™ve got your head up your ass.

The only artists that have ever had any success on Psy are ones with gimmicks (ICP, Twiztid, Blaze). Really? Is today the first day you listened to ICP or anything on Psychopathic? Psy has allowed artists to do their own thing before (Myzery for example) and juggalos say itвЂ™s boring and donвЂ™t buy the shit. People saying Psy should just let Dubbla do Dubbla and Psy should get rid of the gimmicks. DonвЂ™t get me wrong, been down 19 years and still am, love the music, but just donвЂ™t вЂњgetвЂќ most juggalos (at least the online ones). This is why I distanced myself from the juggalo community 8 or so years ago. I'm home.YвЂ™all are too damn funny! Claiming to be fans of something that youвЂ™re constantly hating on. Ouija Macc is nothing short of a live action Dead Body Man, nothing less than a creative genius, and when asked how he felt about signing to Psychopathic Records, he replied only 'I'm finally full of something other than emptiness. It's not often you bear witness to the perspective of someone who was pronounced legally dead, delivered in electrifying cadences over beats that make you want to throw your grandma out the window. He is a bonafied messenger of the wicked shit, with an otherworldly voice and soundscape compared by many to Young Thug or Lil Uzi Vert. You can hear it in his music-the pain, the hunger, the life and death that flow alongside each other, like two faucets leaking in the same trap house. Raised by the streets, he collected all the treasures the gutter had to offer, enduring multiple jail sentences, 7 bullet holes, 2 stab wounds, 3 overdoses, and witnessing Hell's Pit & Shangri-La both up close and personal. Drugs, guns, and gangs became his pencils, pens, and teachers. Kicked out of schools and court-appointed mental health education programs, Ouija dropped out of school in 6th grade to fend for himself. His extremely troubled upbringing, coupled with an assortment of mental illnesses, gave him very few options in life, and in short he squandered every single oneвЂ¦except for his gift with music.
